Nicole Ari Parker has worked in film, TV as well as on stage. Her most well-known role was for playing Teri (the vigorous attorney) Joseph. Contractor, born at Mumbai in India she was raised in Nigeria through the age of seven. She'd been exposed to many different travels and other cultures since a young age. From the age of seven to nine, the young lady was a student at boarding schools in London. Her family then moved to Toronto and she resided there through the majority of her childhood. Then, in Toronto, Contractor excelled in academics and trained as an classical ballerina. At the Etobicoke School of the Arts (a public school for high schools that is specialized in the arts) the student studied dance and theatre. Contractor aged 16 at the time she realized that acting would become her profession. She had danced for a decade. When she completed high school, she won an entire scholarship to University of Toronto. At the University of Toronto she completed the Master of Arts in Theatre. She she also double-majored in Psychology and Sociology. Contractor was cast in her first show in the midst of her university year. The play was well-received throughout the 92 productions that she performed in. The play won her the award in 2002 for the best production of the Year by Canadian critics. Contractor was given the chance to join Stratford's conservatory course, in which a select eight men as well as four women can be accepted for a course lasting 20 weeks in classical theatre, which she was eager to take. She was scheduled to perform in the following season's production was confirmed. She was cast in the role in Hermia from A Midsummer Night's Dream.
